I check my mail on my home desktop, my work desktop, my iPod Touch, and my iPad. I have a personal account and a work account. Between the two on a heavy day I can get 200 to 300 emails. So if i walk into a meeting, i have the touch or the ipad, and i check my mail.

There is no way to select ALL messages.

Chances are I've already read a good deal of these emails, but i leave them on the server just because when i get home they will also be received by my home system. So my iPad gets them, and I have to delete them ONE-BY-ONE. on the touch its not too bad because its just a list. Hit Edit, and the touch touch touch touch touch touch touch touch slide down touch touch touch touch touch touch touch touch slide down touch touch touch touch touch touch touch touch, then delete. On the ipad its similar, but on the larger display as you select each message it displays the full email. So now the process of selecting 200 emails becomes even a little more slow just because the system is actually taking time to render the messages as you select them. This is not a huge deal, but its a procedure I have to repeat daily.

Simply give me a "Select All" button.

The search field becomes deactivated while in this edit mode, and this area would provide a large area for an additional button. If the button is too cluttered for the minimalistic UI, at least add a gesture that i can apply to this list to select all.
