I am actually amazed that this thing works. I guess I have to thank Jason and Pat for all the help they've given me with PHP and mysql. and i gotta thank Will for pushing my ass to get this shit up.

Some days are bad, some days are good. Then some days are like today when you think you're in the movie "Office Space". I just had my office inspected and all of the items in it were measured. They even took photos with a digital camera. I think they stole my stapler.

WHAT THE FUCK. I always have thought that Director is a much MUCH better product than Flash. But now more than ever I find I HAVE to use Flash. So, today I'm working on a little clip for a website. It's just a stupid Tic Tac Toe game to play while the next section is loading. I build the thing and it's 30k. WHAT? That's way too big. So i go look at a early version (with the same art) and it's only 17k. Ok, now I'm confused. So I ask the Flash GURU here, and his response is "delete the extra empty frames". You've gotta be kidding me. So i humor him, and sure enough. Boom. Back down to 17k. So let me just make this perfectly clear for all the morons out there. Even if all the items in your library are compressed to hell and you make sure to reuse artwork, IT DOESN'T MATTER. Cause if you're like me and you put "spacer frames" THAT HAVE NOTHING IN THEM, IT BLOWS THE FILE SIZE. And all this bitching is really cause 10 extra frames ADDED 13k!!!!! (riggs now steps down from the soapbox)

another day. another pile of work to deal with. today has been a world of flash action scripting. i never thought i would say this, but it looks like my focus of work is now in flash. i still love director, and i still think i can make better games in director. But... it's all about the installed user base of flash. EVERYBODY uses it, so i gotta start using it a lot more. Anyway, for the moment, make yourself happy and play my Mission Impossible 2 Motorcycle Game.

i just had the most fun!!! A good friend of mine is going to the high school that i used to go to. He's in the same physics class with the same techer that I had back when I was a seinor. So one of the final projects it to build a bridge out of balsa wood. It's graded on how much is weighs and how much it holds. So... it's gotta hold it's gram weight in pounds. (a bridge that weighs 15 grams must hold 15 pounds to get an A). i wish i could do this shit all the time. We built the thing in 5 hours and tested it over and over again with a bucket full of quarters. I've got superglue all over my hands and 30 minute expoxy all under my fingernails!! i think i'm gonna go to the hobby store tomorrow and buy a model airplane to build. heheheh.

Ok, Buffy finally made a comeback. Most of the new episodes have been REALLY bad. Finally tonight they had an episode that was worth watching. I just miss the damn crossovers. Anyway... Jason had said that Smallville is the best show on TV (next to Farscape). So i gave him the benefit of the doubt tonight and tried out an episode. I still am not convinced.

Rollerball is still up and running. It's hard to believe that people are still playing the Rollerball Game online. Ok, i hate MTV just as much as the next joe. But... I actually have been watching it for most of the day today. All i can say is that "Jammed" is actually the coolest idea that they (mtv) has had in a long time. Pack a bunch of people into a place they are never expecting to see a small show and then... Holy shit its your favorite band. It just gives you a warm fuzzy feeling all over. :)
