So i guess it was eventually going to happen, but this one was the one we were waiting for. Jen and I signed on offer on a house and the seller accepted. So it looks like we're going to be in inspection mode for a little more than a week. We'll see what happens, but everything about the house so far has been in great order. :)

Jen works on Gould up in La Canada, and i was looking at a map to really see how far her drive would be (vs my drive). And as i zoom in, i realize that we've got some hard core trek fans up in the hills above her school.

Its all part of a private community, so they obviously named the streets themselves. Still damn funny.

I've been working on so many different project recently that i've lost track. BUT the
Ultimate Spiderman site just got put live, and its the one site i've built in the last few months that i'm REALLY proud of. David Hays and German Rivera both did a great job with all the artwork. I juts made the site work.
anyway, check it out and see what you think.

Its time to take care of some things here at iriggs.com. There have been far too many stupid little tweaks that i've been meaning to take care of for MONTHS now (if not years). So now it seems that i have the time and i'm going to take care of things.

I guess there's no better way to work that to just jump in and start breaking things. That way you're stuck with no other task than to fix it all. I just gave up working on a dev site. I just started working on the LIVE pages knowing that everything was going to be screwed up. I figure if one of my 3 readers gets pissed, they'll forgive me the next time i see them.
So long story short... i didn't realize that with CSS i could completely get rid of all my tables. Call me fucking stupid, but i've been working with ActionScript for too fuckin long. I had no idea. So when i pulled all my td's tr's tables colspans and crap out, i was blown away at how easy the page ended up being. Now it actually feels like i have control of things. Well i still have a lot to fix.

A couple days ago Bob told us about a movie he'd heard about. All he said was that there was a HUGE collection of comedians that were telling the same joke. The whole point was to make it as dirty and outrageous as possible. So we didn't think about it much until last night when Jen said she wanted to go to the movies. My vote was for the Wedding Crashers, but then we looked up
the Aristocrats, and realized that it looked really good. So we tore up to Laemmle on Colorado and waited in a HUGE line (that was for Grizzly Man) and got our tickets 15 minutes after the show had started. We walked into a packed theater and started to laugh almost immediately. Even though we were 15 minutes late, we still sat through another 5 minutes of previews.
Anyway, the movie starts with George Carlin, and within seconds you are on the floor dying of laughter. All i can say is that if you don't like all-around-cursing and jokes about incest, fucking, bestiality, feces and midgets, then DO NOT go see this movie. Otherwise, DO NOT MISS THIS. The number of people they interview is incredible, and people that you'd never expect are telling the most disgusting versions of the joke (ie Saggat). Kevin Pollak (with his Christopher Walken voice) and Gilbert Godfrey steal the show with their tellings of the joke. I found myself looking over at Jen during the movie wondering if she was offended at anything. I realized that many times she was having trouble breathing cause she was laughing so hard.

So they killed the Dana Strand. The entire area has been bulldozed. The beach itself is still fine, but its depressing how much work they're doing all around. It used to be the most quiet beach in the area. Not any more. The Bulldozers running non stop spoiled that. And soon there is going to be a HUGE fuckin resort there, so that's the end of the little hidden beach. At least the red tide stayed out yesterday, but we still had to watch for jelly fish and sting rays.

Well the news is... there is no news. We're in escrow and we've not heard anything in a few days. The latest we'll get the keys to the house is the 29 of October. With that in mind, Jen has been bringing boxes home every day. We've already cleaned a few closet spaces, and i've started to pack up shit that i know i won't really need. With my netflix account, i've already packed all my DVD's cause i really don't need 300 cases sitting around. The really scary thing is... i've packed about 10 boxes, but there doesn't even seem to be a dent in all the shit that i own. I cleaned out so much crap when i moved 2 years ago, but still i've had a way of collecting things. (thinking of trent lyrics now) anyway, with almost 2 full months i think i'm going to pace myself.

so it was Jen's first day with the 1st graders. So we're going out to Crown City Brewery to have a few pints. :)
