The last time we saw something from 42 entertainment, we were in for a marketing campaign that started buzz for Halo 2.
Now they're helping out Trent.
pure genius.
The new tour shirt pictured below is one of the keys to the layers of understory behind the new concept album.
The bold letters that are offset from the tour dates are put together to spell out...

Last night i headed to the Mayan with a bunch of pple from work. I ended up listing to Peta and trying to get there as quickly as possible. So that meant i was the first on there at about 6:30. The doors didn't open til 7:00, so i waited in line outside for awhile. I ended up being the only on there for about an hour til Katie showed up. So that meant that i was trying to save 12 seats by myself. Well it didn't turn out all that bad. But Peta herself didn't show up til about 7:45, so i had a good laugh. I got us seats about 5 rows back so we werent too close to have wrestlers thrown ON us. But we still had to jump out of the way when people in the rows in front of use started to fly out of the way. Its a big problem with people holding drinks. Drinks tend to fly in the air when wrestlers are coming right at you. So it was a great show of wrestling and burlesque. And a lot of laughs all around. I just couldn't believe how LOUD it was. I guess i wasn't expecting every wrestler to have their own theme music. But the crazy chicken guys by far and away had the loudest shit. Crazy drum and base techo beat that they would bounce around on their asses and flap their arms. Yes thats right.
Great venue, great crowd, and a great show. and my ears are still ringing. The only regret is that they didn't let me take my camera in. EVEN THOUGH EVERYBODY IN THE ENTIRE FUCKIN PLACE HAD CAMERAS. ok, i'm just a little bitter about that one.

So if you ask an Exodar peacekeeper where the auction house is... "Though the acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives..." heh, and some of the Draenei sound like Picard.
Oh, and if you don't play warcraft... nevermind.

Ok, so if you didn't get the last post...
In Star Trek First contact, Picard explains that "The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives" when he's asked how much did it cost to build the Enterprise.
But even better i think is one of the Quests for the Draenei, simply called "the Kessel Run"
and you've gotta complete it in 15 minutes... not 12 parsecs

so went to the doctor and got out with only bloodwork. I really hate needles.... so i thought it was over. I then followed up with the dermatologist figuring i was outta the woods. Well i didn't think there would be more needles and knives and stitches. I got screwed, and now i've got a hole in my arm.
I don't like holes in my arm.

So on Saturday while Jen was at her Baby Shower, I drove into Pasadena to have Lunch with Bob and David. I don't know how Bob finds these places, but we found ourselves at Big Momma's Rib Shack. We were the only people in the place which at first was a red flag, but it was fuckin amazing. I couldn't believe the ribs that David got. A HUGE plate that he had no chance of finishing. I had their Chicken Creole which was just as spicy as i had hoped. But all in all it was a good lunch with a couple beers.
I got home from lunch and soon after Jen came hope with her presents from the shower. I helped unpack the car and dug into the assembly of the Stroller (thanks Anne and Lindsay!!!!). Once again our living room exploded with packaging materials.
Sunday we found ourselves again at the mercy of theater tickets. This time at the deadly Carpenter's Center. Yes the Carpenters. Lets just say that every time Jen and I see a show there, we end up bringing the average age down in the building. So the long story is.... David loves musicals. So they get tickets to just about everything. They just happened to get tickets to two plays for yesterday and David ended up going to one with Missy and Nicole, and Jen and I ended up with Bob. Valerie got out free on account of the fact that she ALWAYS goes to an Academy Awards party. Well lets just say its one of those parties that a couple people actually bring their own Oscars from past victories.
David ended up seeing Altar Boys and we ended up seeing the Full Monty. The show was good, but as always, its not about the show... its about the food. We headed to the 22nd Street Landing after the show for a couple of pints and appetizers. Then we had dinner reservations at Papadakis up on 6th street. Their known for the lamb, and i know why now. It was unbelievable food, and a great old school family restaurant. Kinda reminded me of BC in Pasadena with the guys dancing around and the belly dancers.
We ended up getting home around 9 and i screwed around for awhile before BSG. Now one thing about BSG... they've entered into a sort of Steinbeck middle chapters phase of the show. The episodes stand alone, but they're not really progressing the storyline forward much. I gotta admit it was a good episode, but the last two were exactly the same. So... they better get a move on... or they're gonna start losing viewers.
