Ok, so Enterprise is really smart when they go on business trips. We had to go to sacramento and had to plan the trip about a week before we went. So Southwest was a little pricy. JetBlue on the other hand was DIRT CHEAP. It was $26 one way from Long Beach to Oakland. So Glenn and I drove to LB and then Flew to Oakland then drove a rental car to Sacramento. And it was actually really easy.
the only thing I can say is that JetBlue has video monitors in all the seat backs. They bombard you with Ad's the entire time your in the air and they are literally 12 inches in front of your face. So on the way there i just found a "bad channel"

neck or i slept on it wrong. Now i can even turn it to hard or it hurts like a bitch. So now the only way it doesn't hurt if i hold my head slightly tilted to
the right. :) I just need to get some rest. I actually think it might have been the plane flight. You always end up looking out the window the entire
fuckin flight and your neck is always just turned 90 to the left or right. Maybe i should go out and skate... see if the neck tilt gives me an advantage
or just makes me suck like i usually do.

I got up and drove to Santa Monica today for an 8 AM meeting. Glenn and i carpooled together, and me being my normal self tried my hardest to
avoid freeways at all costs. It took us a little over an hour to get across town, but it did give me the opportunity to take some pictures on the way.

I don't know what made me dig back into my GBA development stuff, but i did. I pulled out my rom reader/writer and started to dig for source code
on GBA games. I actually found a lot more this time. When i started to fuck around with this stuff about a year ago there wasn't much that i
understood. Now i've grown a little as far as code goes and i understand a lot more about writing things and then having to compile them. Shit all
the stuff i've built up til now has been in director (lingo) or action script. Nothing i've ever done is really that advanced. Shit even the PHP that i've
done doesn't even need to be compiled. Well i'm off the subject. I was always wondering how the graphics worked on GBA. I finally found source
code with PCX files and .h files. Taking a look at the stuff i finally think i get a part of it.

Look at that data. It's all binhex color values. a html color could be shown in 6 binhex digits. Every web programmer knows this. 00000 = black,
fffff = white, ff0000 = red duh. But what it really breaks down to is RGB mixtures. First two digits are red, then next two are blue and final two are
green. AND the binhex values break down to a base 10 value between 0 and 255. So, for all you assholes out there who would always bitch about
Macintosh having that fucked up color system that was always on a scale of 0 to 255. 0 to 100 is not exactly as accurate if you know your math. So i
again am off the subject. If you look at the data in this PCX conversion, you see 0x8E00 as the first set of data. it really is telling you the colors of
the first two pixels. Ignore the 0x, and then the 8E is the first pixel color and 00 is the second. BUT these are not RGB color values, they are only
numbers between 0 and 255. Cause it's only an 8 bit color palette.
Well enough of that. I've talked enough. Now i just wonder one thing. You can link two GBA's together with a link cable. Easy enough. I just
wonder if anybody has made a link to USB adapter. You could technically play multiplayer games online, or even link your GBA to a desktop
application for an addressbook or something. hmmmm.

listened to the MUSIC they play during the new ads. It sounds like there should be some deadbeat clown on a street corner, beggin for money, with

rock bottom?
well maybe not yet, but really close. I've been pounded into the fuckin ground and i'm trying to pull things together in my life. I have this feeling that things are gonna have to get a lot worse before they get any better. Well, at least i havent started to sell all my posessions. But you have to admit, with a shitload of DVD's sitting around, i could get a lot of money. I don't watch most of these fuckin movies anyway. Well, i got through today just barely. I think the only thing that helped me today was my parents bailing me out. Everything else was a fuckin disaster.
enough boring emotional talk. back to tech. I gotta figure out a way to take a entire flash program that i built over 6 months ago and pull it apart. Why you ask... Well, the client now suddenly has a problem with the same thing being on BOTH screens of their kiosk at the same time. So from the get go we always said, "and you're gonna have the second monitor up above that will show the exact same thing". Well, now i got til Nov 1 to figure out a way to pull this off with multiple monitors. News flash kiddies. FLASH DOES NOT SUPPORT FULL SCREEN MULTIPLE MONITORS!!! i have a headache. Well, don't fret.... i've got the solution. You just pull the enire COMPLETED product apart. take all the code you worked so hard on a kill it. take all the shit from flash and import it into director. Then reprogram the entire fuckin project from the beginning translating everything from actionscript to lingo. and all in about 10 days. well at least i'll get paid good money to do it. fuck i hate this shit.

i can't explain how good the concert was. I don't have the skilz in writing. So all i can say is that my ears are ringing, my body is still shaking and my feet are ready to fall off. This could very well have been the best show i have ever been to. Will got a new camera and brought it to the show. Security thought it was a cell phone. :) So he's got some great fuckin shots of the show. more to come when i can think.

Tony Hawk 4 RAWKS!!! Ok, so it came out today, and i got it today. I just am really impressed with how hard they made it. All the other Hawk games have been really easy to beat once you master how to skate. Now the goals are REALLY REALLY hard. So even if you are a great fuckin player you really need to get the shit down well to complete the goal. In the alcatraz level, one of the last goals is collect the "supplies" for the guy that's trying to escape, and meet him at the doc. There are 33 supply "tokens" you have to grab, and they are all layed out along a very very very specific path. They lead you to a very logical combo trick, but to do it you really have to be on top of your game. All around there have been graphic improvements, speed improvements, and SOUNDTRACK improvements!! Nothing better than skating to Number of the Beast my Iron Maiden!!!! I can tell that this one is gonna have all the replayability of the other games. Also i gotta hook up my LinkSys USB to ethernet adapter and try the multiplayer games.

Tony Hawk consumes me. I've unlocked most of the game but have yet to finish all the goals and pro challenges. I was VERY happy when i
unlocked one of the secret skaters to find nothing other than Derek Riggs's EDDIE. Yes none other than the Iron Maiden icon can now be used to
grind out the goals of the game. The 2nd level goals are getting to be a lot of fun, but i really had a lot of touble with the 750,000 pro score on the
carnival. I finally hit it on one HUGE session but it did take me a long ass time to get up to it. Shit and on top of it all Vice City came out today. So
i guess one game will follow the other. I don't think i am going to get much work done.
