I feel like such a lazy ass. I did NOTHING today. I actually caught myself staring at my office floor. When i did i had to think, how long have i been sitting here just looking at all the junk on the floor. I don't know, but i've been working for home only for a few weeks now and I already am acting very strange. Well at least i haven't started talking to myself. anyway, i'm just babbeling. Ok, the one thing that i did do today was look into some PHP code that lets you do directory listings on a server. I've known how to do this using director forever, but i never knew how to do it in PHP. SO... long story short. I'm trying to build a module in PHP that will scan directories and open 100's (or even thousands) of jpg's then "average" the color of the entire image. I then plan to store all the average color values into an array and be able to do basic matching. Then i can take a single image and make a mosaic of it using all the other images as "pieces". I've done this before using all kinds of programs, actually using Debabalizer to construct the final image, but i want to see if i can do it all in a set of PHP programs using GD. The sad thing is.... even if i get this done, i'll still have really done NOTHING. :)
