So a few days ago i bought a paper shredder. I got a XEROX one cause i thought it was a good price and i figured it would last. So i get it home and i go crazy. I must have had 5 years worth of shit that needed shredding. So long story short. I killed it. Here's the funny thing. i didn't put too much shit in it. It's a 8 sheet MAX shredder and i didn't have a lot of shit in it when it died. I just started to sound like shit and i could tell that the motor inside was just grinding the gears. So, being the stupid fuck that i am i don't bother taking the thing back to the store, i just open it up. XEROX had the best design for it's products as far as PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE. This thing is a heavy piece of equipment, and most of the gears in it are metal. It looks like it could last forever, but then you find the one gear thats PLASTIC. The motor that turns the gears has a metal rotor. Then that rotor is in contact with a platic gear. When i open the thing up, the metal rotor has made a bald spot on the plastic gear and there is no way it's gonna ever turn it again. Ok, game over, put the thing back together and take it back to the store. Nope i don't think so.
I just made a little modification.

of documents. Now I know what it feels like to work for Enron. ^_^
