Ok, i've been getting my resume ready, and i'm now at the edge of getting a job. So what do i do? I freak out. Yup. I've been sitting on my ass for 6 months at home doing NOTHING!!! So now that i am thinking of going back to the 9 to 5 world i am trying to make up for all the lost time that i should have been spending making something. Now the lost time has produced a little piece of artwork. It's not done yet, but i figured i'd blog it cause some people have already asked about it.

Here's the work so far.

So this is from clay beginning to the laytex mold and plaster 'mother mold'. Now i just gotta wait a day or so for the laytex on the clay to vulcunize (i don't really know how to spell that) so then i can pull the laytex mold off of the clay and then pour plaster casts of the gargoyle. or cement or wax or something. I just had to make something. And since i have totally killed apache and php on my linux box, i figured i'd stick to things that i can actually do.

That first photo rocks with the great lighting on the gargoyle. Also, I know I'm such a damn geek but I have to correct your spelling: laytex = latex, vulcunize = vulcanize. ^_^
