Will has this little geobytes link on his site. It says "The Nukes are aimed at..." and then the geobytes site fills in the location that the people are browsing from. So when i go there it says "the nukes are aimed at los angeles, california". :) But this is not my point. My point now is to rip apart AOL for being a piece of shit. Why you ask. Well it's just this. You then will go to the GeoBytes site and look at thier stats pages. They break down the locations that all the people came from. If you look at the united states you will then get a break down of state by state stats. BUT WAIT. There are 51 states! When the fuck did this happen? Oh, dumb ass dave, i should have known. AOL is now a state of the union. And from the looks of it the state of AOL has a population close to that of California. I just have been pissed about this for so long and it always keeps popping up. For those of you who i have now bored beyond belief... well, those of you who are still with us reading. When stats are collected by web service providers, they can tell in what general area the traffic came from. In AOL's case all their users that use the AOL browser, they usually get routed through a set of proxy servers that end up makeing ALL the traffic look like it's coming from Virginia. And what's the catch? If i have a web server. I run stats on that server and i know who and where and what i am serving to. If i want to know any of this information about an AOL user. Well, lets just say I'm up shit creek. end rant.

Just a tip: if you think you're boring your readers, you should probably try to segue back into something more enjoyable to the mainstream. Don't go "well now that I've bored you, let me give you a technical explanation of proxy servers to get you all excited and interested again" lol

My intention was to say, "Now that all the people that i have bored are GONE, i can focus on the matters that people who are still reading care about". Then i go into the technical workings of proxies.
