Jason RAWKS as usual. I have been trying for the longest time to get multiple page documents to be created from php or something along
those lines. I need a system by which Epic Sports can print one or many of
their incoming orders from the shopping cart system i built for them. I screwed around with standard html and forced page breaks, but
there (as always) are no standards between browsers and platforms. What comes out layed out right on IE on windows gets fucked in IE on
Mac. etc etc etc. So then i screwed around with Director or Flash doing the layout. Both of them can print from the browser, but again,
there are certain combinations of browsers and platforms that will not work. And more than anything i had trouble laying out a multi page
document. So the answer really lies in (and i knew this all along) PDF. But what stopped me from going this direction is i thought ALL pdf
modules you had to pay a fee to adobe to use their tech. That and the fact that i would have to have webair install another lib to my virt
host. I would have to make sure this is the direction i wanted to go before i asked them to do this work.... So i would have to install it here
and try it out. That scared me. I have very little experience doing the things that come naturally to most of my geek buddies. So i decided
to run away like the sissy boy that i am. So where does that leave me. Well with no solution. Until i asked Jason. Like always he had the
answer in under 60 seconds. He found a little class.pdf file that lets you build pdf files on the fly directly in php with no hassle at all. GAWD DAMN THIS STUFF IS COOL. And it's gonna do the job RIGHT.
