I got the COSMOS box set for XMAS. I've been watching an episode every time i get a chance. If you get a chance to watch any of these i do recommend it. Carl Sagan approaches the exploration of the known universe from a point of history. He goes into great detail while he talks about man's exploration of the earth. Segan makes the point that exploration is dangerous, but it seems that man always has to take the risk. The explorers of the earth have gone down in history as some of the most important people that have ever lived. Those who explore space are no different. We must realize that as humans we have a need to understand and explore, and we will not stop. The humans that gave their lives today did so for the greatest reason of all. To Explore, to Understand, and to Expand the Knowledge of all other Humans. I extend to them my deepest respect for doing the job for all human kind.
