Who ever said local TV is that bad? Lakers Game was on KCAL 9, then Buffy on KCOP 13, then NOVA on PBS.

Lakers now 4 in a row. That's the best run they've had all season right? Good game, but they could have been playing a little better. Shaq got into foul trouble and the Lakers had to play a lot of the game without him.

Buffy had a really good episode, but it was strange. It was almost a flashback episode. The "secret military" guys show up again to help out Buffy and Pull the chip out of Spike's head. Willow goes les again, and then turns into the fucker she killed last season. Then to get help she goes back to college and sees the girl they had as a pet rat for a few years. Very strange. AND it was funny, cause with all the old characters showing up in this episode, you could tell that they didn't have the budget to have all the "potential" slayer girls in the episode as well. So they only part they played was "out waiting in the car" You heard the car horn once in the background. LOL easy way to save a little cash.

Then i flipped on NOVA on PBS. This episode was being pumped for a few weeks now and i wish i has seen it from the start. It started at the same time as Buffy so i only saw the last hour from 9 to 10 of it. It was a full documentary on the battle Lockheed and Boeing had over the contract to build the next new fighter jet. It was damn good. Just looking at the teams of guys coming up with these designs was amazing. Test flights were all over the airspace of Edwards AFB just north of here. It makes me want to go see another air show out there. Anyway, i know the way PBS repeats things this one will be on again and i'll try to catch the start of it.

I'll just do a lump comment here for ya. Local TV is bad because mass media in general is probably only rivaled by advertising for evil forces existing in today's society, and TV is all about both of them. Yep, the Lakers 4 game winning streak matches their best all year, and this one is most impressive because its been against 4 good teams with 3 of those wins on the road (another reason Local TV sucks: the game was delayed, so what you saw was like 2 hours old). As for abandoning exploration and technological advances, I sometimes think that maybe humanity would be better off if we never had been so concerned with those two things. If the Native Americans wouldn't agree with that, then maybe Einstein would have: "It has become appallingly clear that our technology has surpassed our humanity." But I could be wrong.
