I've been trying to figure out a way to describe the US Government. I think i might be onto something. The entire federal government is really just like a large corporation. There are different divisions and groups that don't get along with each other. The company as a whole really doesn't have much vision for the future. The share holders in the company rarely care about elections as long as everything just runs as normal. The company has been running itself into the ground for decades, but since they're the largest, they just keep doing what they're doing.

Its very ironic. People in this country think that Democracy and Capitalism are the same thing, or they just don't know the difference. I think if our own US Government was held up to the light of pure Capitalism, we'd see a bankruptcy. Well maybe a hostile takeover.

Democracy and Capitalism actually should have nothing to do with each other. Unfortunately, I think that in today's society they're somewhat opposite of each other (capitalism has led to these huge corporations buying off our government officials, thus negating democracy). I don't know if the US was a corporation if they'd be bankrupt, but I know that they would have a figurehead with no power as the leader (this has been true for decades, not just presently), and the board of directors would really be the ones running things (albeit into the ground or nowhere, whichever you prefer), and all at the expense of the shareholders who have no say in matters whatsoever (once again, my views on this extend to the last couple decades, not just currently).
