Lazy Ass Weekend

It was my Parent's 40th Anniversary yesterday. We started the day hanging out with them and going to Breakfast at Julienne in San Marino. Jen and I got there right at 8 as they opened and almost every table in the place was already packed. As we sit down the new hostess brings us a few menus, and we exchange looks. There's a brief pause. Then she says, hey, you're my neighbors. And at that moment Jen and I realize why she looks so familiar. Our upstairs neighbor (not psycho-crazy-ass "across the hall" neighbor) is the new hostess at Julienne.

After breakfast we headed over to my parent's to see the progress on the kitchen. The counter tops are in and the tile is all in behind the sink etc. The cabinets are being worked on, and the floors will be going in soon. They had a new electrical drop put in the top beam of the ceiling where they are putting a ceiling fan and a couple lights. I took a couple minutes to connect a new printer they got, and then we started to talk about speakers for their kitchen. Jen came up with the idea of actually putting the speakers up in the wall, and while the electrician is there he could wire the entire thing. So now comes the funny part. My father had been told my some dumbass SEARS salesperson, that the BOSE speakers are completely wireless. You can put em anywhere. So we go into a huge discussion about wireless speakers. I actually start to research all the BOSE products looking for some wireless speakers. What i found was that even i started to get confused about all their speakers. In no place do they ever show wires to any of their products. They display the speakers in the most incredible positions, and always with no wires. So my father finally called a BOSE outlet and asked a real sales rep. There are no wireless BOSE speakers.

So Jen and I headed home and Jen got to work. We had In N Out for lunch and then said we would be good for dinner. Jen went to the store to pick up makings for dinner. Just then her father calls. He suggests that we go to Becham Grill for dinner. There is no way in hell Jen and I are going to turn this down. So instead of eating something light for dinner, we go the opposite direction altogether. So by the time we get home, we're just about dead from all the food we've eaten during the day.

So far today i've been lazy. Jen got up and ran, but i just have been screwing around working on blog code. So titles are in and the RSS feed has been improved. I'm going to attempt a search function, but i think thats going to take me a little while longer.
