breaking point

So you know its a bad day when you know you've passed your breaking point. You have the feeling inside that the next thing, whatever it is, is going to feel the full wrath of your power. I was at that point all day long. One thing after another kept fucking up and i kept getting frustrated. BUT i didnt lose control. I kept all the shit inline and just kept moving. But all the time i'm thinking, "I'm 2 seconds away from walking out the door"

Its not that i work with fuckin morons. That's not the problem. I work with some great people. Its just that shit happens thats either political or just a fuckin stupid mistake, and it leads to more and more problems. So today the first problem was i had a video that was sent in the wrong format. i need to recompress it, and i need a little app that will do the trick. Because of the history of the company, the IT dept is ALL POWERFULL. "No Root For You!" So as a result i have to bug them when i want anything done. Well i don't like bugging anybody. Most of the time i just find another way, so i can take care of problems myself. But as a result I find myself jumping through hoops. When i finally did ask for one program to be installed today, it took 40 minutes and at then end of it all didn't work at all. The solution that was put forward by IT didn't work either. Doesn't matter now, i'll just do the one little thing at home where i've got all the tools i need to get a job done.

Then the really frustrating problem was a huge amount of banners that i'm working on. I worked 2 days getting a dumpload of banners done, and today i find they all have to be changed. The XLS doc that listed all the products in the banners, had the wrong dates on it. I put products in that are not suppost to be in until the next rev. They all had the correct dates on them though. Well guess who had to fix everything? Got it done and i'm going home.
