garden state
Tuesday January 4th 2005 12:55 AM PST
after dinner tonight (sorry will, the fork and knife ribs are back on the menu) i ran by blockbuster and tried to get Napoleon
Dynamite and Garden State. ND was sold out, so i grabbed Garden State. Jen and I both had not seen this movie yet. Now its
about 1AM and i'm thinking about watching it again. Jen fell asleep about half way through and i stayed up watching. By the
end i was crying. (yup sappy me) But i can't explain how refreshing a NON hollywood movie is. So i've been up for the last
few hours listening to the soundtrack.
Frou Frou - Let Go
Drink up baby down mmm are you in or are you out leave your things behind cause it's all going off without you excuse me too busy writing your tragedy these mishaps you bubble wrap when you've no idea what you're like so let go jump in oh well whatcha waiting for it's alright cause there's beauty in the breakdown so let go just get in oh it's so amazing here it's alright cause there's beauty in the breakdown it gains the more it gives & it rises with the fall [so hand me that remote can't you see that all that stuff's a sideshow] such boundless pleasure we've no time for later now you can't await your own arrival you've 20 seconds to comply so let go

Believe me when I tell you that you aren't missing ANYTHING by not watching ND. I relly don;t understand. At Blockbuster there were two whole sections for this movie alone. And I saw on E! it was the top selling DVD of the Christmas season. So me and some friends rented it. It was the most godawful moive I have ever watched! Nothing was explained, the kid is more than a loser, and there is absolutely NO plot! We actually called up Blockbuster and tried to get our money back, it was that bad!
Serisouly the worst movie I have ever seen. If you never want to see 90 munites of your life again, THEN I suggest you rent this.

Hmmm, I saw Napoleon Dynamite at a screening really really early in its theater run. I've got two
words.... "Time Machine" I almost pissed myself. I don't think this is wasted time at all. Its required
viewing. Its not your normal movie at all. If you're looking for a straight up comedy, this is not for
you.

napoleon dynamite ruled. best movie of the year, if it wasn't for team america.
i really enjoyed garden state, but i'm not sure if a movie done by a guy on scrubs counts as non-hollywood.
