microwaves stop chases

So wired has a good article about microwave attacks on car chases. I do recall seeing something similar a few years back, but nothing
ever came of it. There is ONE huge liability that law enforcement will be reluctant take on. The microwave
unit toasts microchips, and as a result the microchips in the car stop functioning, and the car comes to a stop. So lets just say
there is somebody in the car with a pacemaker. Not only will the car grind to a halt, so will the pacemaker, and the heart its
controlling. There is a significant market for an item like this microwave unit. It will just be interesting to see how law
enforcement deals with the possibility that it may kill someone when they use it.

I don't think so. But it might have been able to incapacitate RoboCop during the couple seconds he
was falling from that building. Thus disabling any inertial dampeners that would have saved his
BRAIN from the kinetic force of an impact with concrete.

Come on man, let's not get crazy about this. I mean, seriously, NOTHING can stop Robocop. Even Peter Weller not wanting to play him anymore didn't stop Robocop. The dude is like... he's like, invincible or something! Inertial dampeners my ass!
