So i jumped right in

I guess there's no better way to work that to just jump in and start breaking things. That way you're stuck with no other task than to fix it all. I just gave up working on a dev site. I just started working on the LIVE pages knowing that everything was going to be screwed up. I figure if one of my 3 readers gets pissed, they'll forgive me the next time i see them.
So long story short... i didn't realize that with CSS i could completely get rid of all my tables. Call me fucking stupid, but i've been working with ActionScript for too fuckin long. I had no idea. So when i pulled all my td's tr's tables colspans and crap out, i was blown away at how easy the page ended up being. Now it actually feels like i have control of things. Well i still have a lot to fix.

I have tried using ONLY CSS for formatting before, but it always seemed like either IE or Netscape(et.all) would render things differently. Not majorly differently, just minorly--a few pixles off. But that would ALWAYS fnark up what I was trying to do, formatting wise.
Other than hacking up a browser sniffer and having separate HTML for each browser, I couldnt figure out what else to do. Any ideas why I might have been seeing that type of behavior?
