I got home from lunch and soon after Jen came hope with her presents from the shower. I helped unpack the car and dug into the assembly of the Stroller (thanks Anne and Lindsay!!!!). Once again our living room exploded with packaging materials.
Sunday we found ourselves again at the mercy of theater tickets. This time at the deadly Carpenter's Center. Yes the Carpenters. Lets just say that every time Jen and I see a show there, we end up bringing the average age down in the building. So the long story is.... David loves musicals. So they get tickets to just about everything. They just happened to get tickets to two plays for yesterday and David ended up going to one with Missy and Nicole, and Jen and I ended up with Bob. Valerie got out free on account of the fact that she ALWAYS goes to an Academy Awards party. Well lets just say its one of those parties that a couple people actually bring their own Oscars from past victories.
David ended up seeing Altar Boys and we ended up seeing the Full Monty. The show was good, but as always, its not about the show... its about the food. We headed to the 22nd Street Landing after the show for a couple of pints and appetizers. Then we had dinner reservations at Papadakis up on 6th street. Their known for the lamb, and i know why now. It was unbelievable food, and a great old school family restaurant. Kinda reminded me of BC in Pasadena with the guys dancing around and the belly dancers.
We ended up getting home around 9 and i screwed around for awhile before BSG. Now one thing about BSG... they've entered into a sort of Steinbeck middle chapters phase of the show. The episodes stand alone, but they're not really progressing the storyline forward much. I gotta admit it was a good episode, but the last two were exactly the same. So... they better get a move on... or they're gonna start losing viewers.
